Willow Trees

Willow Trees

I remember willow trees,
Standing in our yard.

I remember young and free,
Swinging on an old used tire

I remember running,
and my toes lost in the grass.

I remember playing till.
The Sun went down at last.

The days were so much longer then,
With time to laugh and play!

With more time behind me now,
Then I'll ever see again!

My greatest wish, the gift I'd ask,
Is to walk -back-where I've been.

Oh the days I'd like to change,
Words I'd never say again!

There are hands I'd hold once more,
And gentle things I'd say.

If I could stand neath willow trees,
With time to run and play.

Poetry

Poetry

Sweet lines of metered poetry
Honey tasting words to eat
Rhyming light and blessings
A gift from God to me

Jewels pulled down from heaven
Some gold from heavens street
Words that bring creation
Of the person I should be

A taste of the living water
Refreshed by the crystal sea
A drink from the Fathers fountain
Is the living word to me
